CENTRAL TEXAS CATFISH
LAKE WHITNEY RESULTS
Anybody want to talk about a cold and windy day on a lake this would be on of those. Our first tournament was a little on the chilly side. Temperatures started out in the low 20’s with high winds and wind chill temp’s in the teens. It was a hard day of fishing. But all the teams made it back in safely. We paid out over $2200 in cash to the top 4 spots plus big fish. During our meeting on Friday night we had the time to meet and talk to a lot of people, Jody Goodman our vice president cooked us up some great chili and a pot of beans. The man sure can cook. We had a better than expected turnout for our first time out.
1st Place went to David Royal and Chaney Royal, out of Atoka Oklahoma with a total weight of 28.4 lbs. This was there first fishing tournament. What to start out a new year.
2nd Place went to Nick Goodman and Joe Towers with a total weight of 19.4 lbs. These great guys are from Groesbeck Texas.
3rd Place was won by Mike Padgett and Bud Carlock from Temple Texas, with a total weight of 18.2 lbs.
4th Place was won by Roy Ewing and Jason Cummings from Moody Texas with a weight of 15.6 lbs.
BIG FISH James Tucker and Daniel Didgeon from Waco Texas weight in a nice Blue catfish at 8.8 lbs and taking a nice check for $290
After the tournament and awards were handed out we headed back to Uncle Gus Marinas cabins for rib eye steaks and some deep fried ribs and fries. Everyone was welcome to eat and celebrate. We would like to think all of our sponsors and everyone that showed up to fish, We all had a great time. Hope to see you all at Lake Benbrook on the 16th of February. Remember we will be adding another $1000 on top of the entry fee’s again.
Good luck fishing.
